Gallery of Ireland

Welcome to Villa yachting Lifestyles!

Ireland is often referred to as the Emerald Isle and no wonder as it boasts over forty different shades of green which reflects in the shimmering of an emerald stone…the eye may have difficulty in detecting the various shades but its overall beauty is there for all to see….that's the Ireland of today. The coast line stretching from County Clare to County Galway is dramatic with its unique landscape and dramatic green vistas that give birth to the claim of the Emerald Isle… and this area is home to meandering clear streams, peaceful lakes and many ancient ruins to explore. Ireland is like a lush rich green plain that is circumvented by low lying mountains and coursing its way through its midst is the mighty River Shannon… which together with its sister rivers provides fantastic water sports and fishing! The climate of Ireland is considered to be temperate which results in fine summer temperatures without the discomfort of to much heat as the outdoors offer many sporting and leisure pursuits to enjoy… golf, fishing, walking, climbing, horse riding and the choices just continue. Ireland has so much to offer the tourist whether an active experience, a leisurely break, a family pleasure or just a relaxing time in glorious scenery… its all here waiting to be enjoyed.

The coastline of Ireland is spectacular as its western shores are washed by the warm North Atlantic sea currents and the Irish Sea protects its eastern borders as the towering cliffs peer out over the horizon. But these rocky cliffs provide not only fantastic views and lovely walks but also protection to its golden sandy beaches and coves that are great for all forms of water sport… some of the best seafood in the world is caught in these waters. Some of the beaches have been awarded the blue flag for excellence but every sandy beach and cove has its own charm and individuality to be enjoyed by its user… family fun on the sands, a swim in the sea, sailing in the bay, resting in the sun or perhaps a walk in the evening sunset. The River Shannon forms part of the Shannon Erne Waterway which winds its course from the Cuilcagh Mountains in County Cavan on its way to the Atlantic Ocean through the coastal County Clare… this is a wildlife haven that thrive sin this most natural habitat. It is the longest water way in Europe that can be navigated by boat or barge and this provides a fantastic opportunity to see countryside that otherwise would be hidden from sight and apart from the beauty of navigating along these peaceful waters it also offers the chance to chill and enjoy the clean environment that nature has given to be enjoyed. There is so much to love about Ireland with its countryside, waterways, leisure activities, country parks and houses, quaint villages dotted along winding lanes and its islands too……the original Coney Island is to be discovered here!

Every county has a different benefit to offer the tourist whether it is fishing, golf, horse riding, walking, climbing, water sports to name a few… or it may be the places of interest to explore, the golden sandy beaches to relax on, the spectacular views that the coastal pathways offer… or it may just be the lovely atmosphere that is Ireland to enjoy and appreciate. There is much more with the City of Dublin offering so many attractions, excellent restaurants, glorious art galleries, magnificent architecture, marvellous shopping with its centres and chic boutiques… and of course its lively character pubs which are renowned for their hospitality and warmth. Ireland is a fulfilling experience in itself and one that should not be missed and one that will be remembered by the passage of time just like letting a pint of the 'Black Amber ' to settle before drinking………to enjoy the pleasure as it will last forever!
